Parnassos Cultural Center

Parnassos Cultural Center is Utrecht University's vibrant cultural hub, offering students and the wider community access to over 100 courses in dance, music, singing, theater, photography, and visual arts. Located at Kruisstraat 201, the center combines educational programming with regular live entertainment in their theater and student bar.

The venue hosts diverse live music programming including Parnassos Open Stage nights where performers showcase talents in music, spoken word, and poetry, plus Let's Jam sessions where musicians meet for spontaneous performances. Friday evenings often feature Popronde Utrecht and other live concerts, while their Springplank! series presents try-out cabaret nights with emerging comedians. The Parnassos Cultuurcafé provides an informal setting for karaoke nights, dance events with free workshops (salsa, Balkan, belly dancing), and end-of-course presentations by students.

Beyond music, Parnassos presents theater productions, musical performances, and cultural festivals like UUnited and Forward Festival. The venue is open Monday through Friday and welcomes everyone, though UU students and staff receive discounts on courses and events.
