dB's has been Utrecht's number one independent underground venue since 1994, serving as a vital free space (vrijplaats) for the regional music community. Located at CAB-Rondom 100 near Station Zuilen (one minute by train from Utrecht Centraal), this comprehensive music complex combines rehearsal facilities, live venue, and social space under one roof.

The facility features 17 fully-equipped rehearsal studios available seven days a week from noon to midnight, complete with professional backline including Pearl drums, Ampeg, Fender, and Marshall amplifiers. The concert hall (Studio Moskou) presents approximately 150 shows annually, showcasing mainly international bands across genres from 60s trash to black metal, postrock to alt country, with both indoor and outdoor stages. Programming focuses on underground and alternative music off the beaten track, attracting diverse audiences seeking authentic live experiences.

The music café creates a relaxed, festival-like atmosphere with 12 beers on tap plus 50 rotating bottles, featuring monthly tap takeovers. Roots Rock Kitchen provides excellent 100% vegan pub food, making dB's welcoming to all dietary preferences. The venue maintains a friendly, rough-around-the-edges charm with spacious foyers, good acoustics, and a genuine community vibe where musicians and music lovers connect.
